Natural Radiance Ibuprofen Gel is a combination of Ibuprofen USP, MSM (Dimethyl Sulfone), Bromelain 1200 gdu, Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Ketoprofen in a proprietary dermal delivery system.
Ibuprofen has proven effective for relief of pain and inflammation. The downside of Ibuprofen is that oral consumption has been documented to induce stomach ulcers and can create kidney and liver damage.
The Europeans have been using “topical” Ibuprofen for years to gain the benefits of Ibuprofen without these side affects. Topical Ibuprofen is quickly absorbed by the skin, directly reaching the affected area with a very small amount entering the blood stream.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Ibuprofen Gel contains the active ingredient ibuprofen, which is a type of medicine called a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Ibuprofen is a simple painkilling medicine used to relieve mild to moderate pain and inflammation.
Ibuprofen works by blocking the action of a substance in the body called cyclo-oxygenase (COX). Cyclo-oxygenase is involved in the production of various chemicals in the body, some of which are known as prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are produced in response to injury and certain diseases and conditions, and cause pain, swelling and inflammation. Ibuprofen blocks the production of these prostaglandins and is therefore effective at reducing inflammation and pain.
When ibuprofen is applied to the skin (topical application) it is absorbed through the skin into the underlying tissues, where it reduces pain and inflammation in the local area. This gel can be used to relieve the pain of muscular and joint conditions such as sprains, strains, backache, rheumatism and minor arthritic conditions. They should be massaged gently into the affected area.
Ibuprofen is absorbed less into the bloodstream from preparations that are applied to the skin than from preparations that are taken by mouth, however absorption can still occur, particularly if large amounts are used on large areas.

WARNING:
• This medicine is for external use only.
• Do not apply to broken skin. Avoid contact with the eyes and the moist membranes lining the inside of certain parts of the body, eg mouth, nasal passages (mucous membranes). Rinse with cold water if accidental contact occurs.
• Wash your hands thoroughly after applying this medicine, unless the hands are the area being treated.
• You should not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings, as these will enhance the absorption of the medicine into the body and may increase the risk of side effects.
• This medicine should not be used for longer than a few weeks unless otherwise advised by your doctor.
• Seek medical advice from your doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms persist or worsen despite treatment.
• If you experience any side effects from this medicine, in particular a rash, stop using it and seek medical advice
When it is used on unbroken skin this medicine is unlikely to be absorbed in sufficient amounts to affect other medicines that are being taken by mouth. However, if it is used with aspirin or other NSAIDs, eg ibuprofen taken by mouth, there may be an increased chance of side effects.
COMMON USAGE:
Topical treatment providing quick, temporary relief from muscle pain, backaches, inflammatory rheumatic afflictions of the joints, sports/accident related strains and sprains.
SUGGESTED APPLICATION:
Unless otherwise prescribed by a health care professional, gently rub a thin coat of gel (Approximately 1 teaspoon) into the affected area. Repeat up to four times daily with 3 to 4 hours between applications. If symptoms persist, consult a health care professional.
1 Teaspoon (5m) equals 112mg Ibuprofen, 33 mg MSM, 14 mg Bromelain 1200 gdu, 12 mg Glucosamine, 10 mg Chondritin and 5.5 mg Ketoprofen.

MSM (Dimethyl Sulfone) relieves inflammation in the tissues and swelling of muscles and joints. MSM also provides sulfur to the connective tissue of the joint to promote joint health.
Bromalain is a natural anti-inflammatory derived from the pineapple. It is the number one herb used by herbalists for the treatment of inflammation.
Glucosamine and Chondroitin are the popular duo that work together to alleviate joint pain and reduce inflammation. Glocosamine stimulates cells to repair damaged joints and for new connective tissue, while Chondroitin actually facilitates the entry of the Glocosamine into the joints.
Ketoprofen is a non steriodal , anti-inflammatory and is effective in treating mild to moderate pain and inflammation in the body.

Supplements taken orally are mostly destroyed in the digestion process. Adequate absorption is only accomplished through topical application in the for of a dermal (skin) delivery system.
